Job description

Marine Travelift is excited to be adding a mechanical engineering intern to our team for summer 2020. As part of the leading boat handling equipment manufacturer, this intern will work closely with our engineering department to design parts for our cranes and forklifts. This is a paid full-time summer internship experience. The right candidate will be working towards a degree in the mechanical engineering field.

Responsibilities and job tasks for this position include:

  • Experience working with a computer-aided drafting tool (SolidWorks) preferred
  • Works on engineering projects involving existing and prototype products
  • Performs design calculations, prepares drawings and specifications, and other associated duties related to implementation into the production processes
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Technical background
  • Complete other projects as assigned
