Job Description

Marine Travelift is excited to be adding a full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to our team on first shift. This position will work with forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks. Paperwork and computer work are required to ensure tasks are completed safely and on time and to assist with incoming and outgoing inventory. Our Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving and documenting parts entering or exiting the warehouse
  • Ensure all parts are safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
  • Issue and review packing slips to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize computer to look up and issue parts
  • Collect parts from floor and safely transport to the shipping bay for shipping
  • Utilize forklift to load and unload trucks
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Previous shipping & receiving experience preferred
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift (training provided by MTI)
  • Must have computer experience (Outlook, Work, Excel)
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow directions
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for the entire shift
  • Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
